Kismet means fate—but not the passive kind. It’s the convergence of choices, timing, and a willingness to say yes when something feels inevitable.
Kismet was born from many such moments: how we met, the paths that led us to Vancouver, Washington, and the quiet realization that this chapter of life was the right one to finally bring this restaurant into the world. Not rushed. Not forced. Simply… time.
This is a small, 36-seat dining room by design. An intimate space where the focus is singular: a seasonal, chef-curated menu shaped by what’s fresh, local, and at its best right now. Each prix fixe menu is thoughtfully composed to highlight ingredients at their peak and to offer a cohesive, intentional experience from first course to last.
We believe great food doesn’t need excess or fuss—just care, clarity, and respect for the craft. The result is fine dining that feels grounded, personal, and genuinely welcoming.
Kismet is a reflection of where we’ve been and where we are now. A restaurant shaped by experience, patience, and a belief that some things arrive exactly when they’re meant to.
Welcome to Kismet. We’re glad you’re here.

Frequently asked questions.
Frequently asked questions.
Do you have Parking?
Vancouver now has metered and enforced paid parking seven days a week. Please check the signage if you decide to street park. There is a lot behind the restaurant that offers free parking after 6:00PM in all the spaces except the reserved ones. Those are enforced 24/7/365 and they are regularly patrolled.
What is the best method to contact the restaurant?
If you are running late for a reservation, please call the restaurant directly at 1(360) 798-9874 and let us know your new ETA and we will do our best to accommodate you. We do not respond to texts or e-mails during service hours, so the telephone is the way to reach us directly.
Can I bring outside products to the restaurant?
Special bottles of wine are allowed and welcome for a nominal corkage fee. Birthday cakes are welcome with prior permission and as long as the chef gets a slice. Otherwise, due to liability issues, Kismet does not allow outside beverage and foods.
What if we have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
Kismet has an ever-changing seasonal menu and uses some ingredients that may contain allergens. We cannot guarantee that it will fit with everyone’s dietary restrictions. If you need help navigating the menu, our staff will do their best to help you make appropriate choices. As the menu changes frequently and without notice, please call us directly to find out if we are currently using anything that you might be allergic to. Again, we can direct you to the best choices, but we cannot create special menus for individual clients.
